Ivan Bernad took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnulfo Tonio. Arnulfo Tonio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Leon Gurutz put in a rough tackle. Gaudencio Hernandez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Punta Alvear's Arnulfo Tonio got control of the ball when Ivan Bernad tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnulfo Tonio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Quintan in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Marcos Telo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punta Alvear's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Telo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arsenio Maiorga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Punta Alvear's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Quintan came free, but Arnulfo Tonio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnulfo Tonio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Rattín in the 40th minute of the match. After 64 played minutes LTA FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Hernandez. A collision led to Punta Alvear getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Rogelio Lucila hit a great ball. LTA FC's Erubiel Dominix was substituted for Rodrigo Quintan. In the 68th minute, Rogelio Lucila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Punta Alvear's zone, Erubiel Dominix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Tonio came out of the goal and Erubiel Dominix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Punta Alvear's goalkeeper Arnulfo Tonio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Epifanio Silvino fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Punta Alvear's protests and gave Epifanio Silvino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LTA FC booed when Punta Alvear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Silvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
