In the 11th minute, Fidel Joachim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnulfo Tonio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Punta Alvear's Arnulfo Tonio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Joachim in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Llavallol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Gurutz came free, but Aurelio Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Punta Alvear's protests and gave Ruperto Romero a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Punta Alvear! After 35 minutes Punta Alvear's goalkeeper Arnulfo Tonio managed, with a little bit of luck, save Mateo Tolino's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. 35 minutes into the match, Mateo Tolino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnulfo Tonio. Punta Alvear's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateo Tolino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Punta Alvear's Arnulfo Tonio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Punta Alvear from getting a goal against them. Aurelio Cortez came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Punta Alvear's Angelito Di Maria. But to his dismay, Angelito Di Maria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Epifanio Silvino was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, one of Punta Alvear:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelito Di Maria to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Llavallol FC's Fidel Joachim got a free kick in the 51st minute. Arnulfo Tonio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Bras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
