Isaac Tonete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Liher having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Jonatan Cambranes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuel Padro. Mercedes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonatan Cambranes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 31st minute, Jonatan Cambranes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Padro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 37th minute of the game Benito Paskal made a throw-in which Ciro Ted played forward. In the 38th match minute, Mercedes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Ted to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Padro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Cambranes in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mercedes's goalkeeper Samuel Padro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonatan Cambranes to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Huly in the 53rd minute of play forced Mercedes's goalkeeper Samuel Padro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Mercedes's Everardo Nesor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nereo Liher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Cambranes in the 68th minute of play forced Mercedes's goalkeeper Samuel Padro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nereo Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Nesor in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mercedes defense, Jonatan Cambranes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Padro. The Mercedes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Padro should have stopped the shot. Vinicio Nofre hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Everardo Nesor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Nesor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonatan Cambranes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Colesterol FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
