Higinio Machado hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When Roberto Guifre came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Vélez Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Guifre couldn't finish the play. Delmar Hanot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Guifre, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Guifre got free with Delmar Hanot in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of DON RAMON 72 booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Rod Stewart managed to get in a good position for a shot. DON RAMON 72's supporters rose to their feet, but Rod Stewart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Sandaili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximino Navarro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 86th minute Silvano Harkaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Sandaili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Sandaili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Stewart in the 88th minute of play.
