The corner ended in Higinio Machado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Plebeyos's Damaso Truylos did a great save. After 13 played minutes Plebeyos got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Vistruario. Damaso Truylos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Bordat during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomás Bordat hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Flavio Lugo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Damaso Truylos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Navarro in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Guifre in the 24th minute of play forced Plebeyos's goalkeeper Damaso Truylos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Plebeyos's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Ruisko came free, but Damaso Truylos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Plebeyos:s Damaso Truylos showed great skill when he stopped Maximino Navarro:s penalty. When Sebastian Rambert fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Plebeyos's protests and gave Sebastian Rambert a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Primitivo Eguen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plebeyos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Eguen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Valentin Abalos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Vélez Juniors fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Vélez Juniors's Roberto Guifre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The wind increased when Maximino Navarro made the kick off in the second half. Tomás Bordat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Damaso Truylos came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomás Bordat slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 52nd minute. Sebastian Rambert might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Sandaili. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Rambert ran back to his position shaking his head. Damaso Truylos made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Ladislao Ruisko sent off a good shot on target. Roberto Guifre who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Damaso Truylos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Roberto Guifre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Damaso Truylos made a huge save. Damaso Truylos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Ruisko in the 61st minute. Valentin Abalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Plebeyos's goalkeeper Damaso Truylos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Higinio Machado. The Vélez Juniors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vélez Juniors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
