Maximino Navarro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Delmar Hanot 23 minutes into the match. Roberto Guifre came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Delmar Hanot could save by the left post. Delmar Hanot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Higinio Machado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 30 minute of play. After a rather tough play, DON RAMON 72's Roberto Tohias got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rod Stewart in the 38th minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Nicolas Sandaili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, DON RAMON 72's Delmar Hanot got control of the ball when Roberto Guifre tried to sneak it across the goal line.

53 minutes into the match, Tomás Bordat notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of DON RAMON 72's Delmar Hanot. Delmar Hanot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 56 minutes into the game, Higinio Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Delmar Hanot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Vélez Juniors booed when DON RAMON 72 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rod Stewart didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, DON RAMON 72's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Navarro came free, but Delmar Hanot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Sandaili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rod Stewart, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Maximino Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vélez Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Navarro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute of the match, Rod Stewart tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nicolas Sandaili saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 66th match minute, Vélez Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Lugo to maneuver through the defense. Silvano Harkaitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Sandaili read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Ladislao Ruisko took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delmar Hanot. Delmar Hanot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. DON RAMON 72's Delmar Hanot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Navarro in the 76th minute of play. After 78 played minutes, Vélez Juniors's Aquiles Argina shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Delmar Hanot came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vélez Juniors reached it. Nicolas Sandaili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Harkaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Silvano Harkaitz made a precise shot to the right of Nicolas Sandaili. Vélez Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Nicolas Sandaili made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Silvano Harkaitz sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aquiles Argina during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Feliciano Cordarin hit a great ball. Delmar Hanot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Navarro in the 94th minute of the match. Delmar Hanot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Navarro in the 95th minute of play. Nicolas Sandaili was a little too slow when Rod Stewart got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 6-3. Vélez Juniors's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
