In the 7th minute of the match Placido Garci shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Miro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Placido Garci's late challenge caught a Ripa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Placido Garci helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ got a freekick which was hit by Placido Garci. 24 minutes into the match, ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Confesor came free, but Hector Cambranes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ripa FC booed when ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Miro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pocho Lavezzi in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogelio Confesor to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hristo Stoichkov in the 51st minute of play forced ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's goalkeeper Hector Cambranes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
