Agustin Matro came out and tried to block the shot, but Erasmo Garci slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 13th minute. Luciano Presebal charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Presebal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Luciano Presebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustin Matro made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Baldomero Salvator sent off a good shot on target. Argentinos Juniors's Agustin Matro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Argentinos Juniors from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Fabian Teofilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, CA Trapito's Benedicto Liher ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Agustin Matro. Agustin Matro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 25th minute, Luciano Presebal made a precise shot to the right of Teofilo Faro. CA Trapito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Agustin Matro made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Baldomero Salvator sent off a good shot on target. After 38 played minutes CA Trapito got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Ritchie. 41 minutes into the game, Cornelio Cresencio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA Trapito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentinos Juniors the free kick. After 42 played minutes CA Trapito got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Cresencio. Argentinos Juniors's Timoteo Gonzo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CA Trapito. Agustin Matro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Liher, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors booed when CA Trapito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Guillelmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

With 53 minutes on the clock, Ariel Ritchie commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Teofilo Faro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timoteo Gonzo went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the game, Diego Gonzales recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teofilo Faro. Diego Gonzales showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. In the 60th minute, Erasmo Guillelmus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustin Matro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Liher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute CA Trapito were awarded a corner. Erasmo Guillelmus went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on CA Trapito's corner Erasmo Guillelmus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Agustin Matro quite easily take care of the ball. Diego Gonzales could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Teofilo Faro made a huge save. Teofilo Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Itzaina in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Erasmo Garci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Severiano Mikeldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benedicto Liher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Agustin Matro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Baldomero Salvator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Matro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Argentinos Juniors's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
