When Emilio Berriotxoa came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Piernas Locas Crane FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Berriotxoa couldn't finish the play. Venancio Mark hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Luis Santana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Jaizki. Piernas Locas Crane FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emilio Berriotxoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute Octavio Txurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Jaizki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cecilio Ubarna scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Jaizki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the game, Luis Santana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ivan Jaizki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santa Maradona's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicasio Gergori was slow to take the kick. During this time Piernas Locas Crane FC's players had a chance to rest. Piernas Locas Crane FC's Nicasio Gergori was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tor Rosenlund in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 29 minutes into the game, Piernas Locas Crane FC's Emilio Berriotxoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tor Rosenlund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Piernas Locas Crane FC's Luciano Bertran in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santa Maradona's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Bertran in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor Rosenlund saved Santa Maradona from getting behind. In the 36th match minute, Piernas Locas Crane FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Mark to maneuver through the defense. Luis Santana struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ivan Jaizki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Maradona. Emilio Berriotxoa charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Berriotxoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Piernas Locas Crane FC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Berriotxoa. In the 43rd minute Luciano Bertran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Rosenlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Berriotxoa to strike the kick off in the second half. Tor Rosenlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Berriotxoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Felipe Escobar fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piernas Locas Crane FC's protests and gave Felipe Escobar a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Bertran in the 59th minute of play forced Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Tor Rosenlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Bertran in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor Rosenlund saved Santa Maradona from getting behind. In the 64th minute, Ciriaco Rencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Piernas Locas Crane FC's Ivan Jaizki got control of the ball when Luis Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luciano Bertran in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tor Rosenlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Luciano Bertran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Bertran in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor Rosenlund saved Santa Maradona from getting behind. Tor Rosenlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Bertran in the 94th minute of play. When Hakkı Kenan Ushan fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Maradona's protests and gave Hakkı Kenan Ushan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Santa Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Kenan Ushan to maneuver through the defense.
