Pastor Aritza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Siro Eduino made a huge save. 17 minutes into the game, Koen Van der Hoeven cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Benito Sol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Koen Van der Hoeven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Casimiro Chale kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Pastor Aritza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Siro Eduino. La Coruña FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pastor Aritza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Geronimo Mino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sol having to interfere. Pastor Aritza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Resistencia's Candido Gorbea got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, La Coruña FC's Siro Eduino got control of the ball when Pastor Aritza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Laffitte, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Koen Van der Hoeven made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Felo to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, La Coruña FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Felo came free, but Siro Eduino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Aurelio Bixintxo made a precise shot to the right of Siro Eduino. La Coruña FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. 85 minutes into the match, La Coruña FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Aritza came free, but Siro Eduino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
