In the 22nd minute of the match Rogelio Tancredo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Siro Eduino skillfully saved the ball. La Coruña FC's Koen Van der Hoeven got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Ice Valley FC's Gonzalo Marko got control of the ball when Koen Van der Hoeven tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Koen Van der Hoeven made a kick off. The supporters of Ice Valley FC booed when La Coruña FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Txema didn't get a good kick on the ball.
