The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes B&B Jelenia Góra got a freekick which was hit by Tolek Huk. Tadeusz Brataniec's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jedrzej Hatman firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tobiasz Kalak charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobiasz Kalak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tobiasz Kalak kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Gwidon Ikalewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. B&B Jelenia Góra's Jedrzej Hatman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save B&B Jelenia Góra from getting a goal against them. Tadeusz Brataniec did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Jedrzej Hatman 22 minutes into the match. B&B Jelenia Góra's Jedrzej Hatman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Smolarek in the 26th minute of play. Iwan Pawlik hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Radomil Smolarek dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jedrzej Hatman, 2-0. 41 minutes into the game, Tadeusz Brataniec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jedrzej Hatman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 45 minutes, Radomil Smolarek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Army and the B&B Jelenia Góra players grew even worse after the yellow card. Radomil Smolarek hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

A collision led to B&B Jelenia Góra getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mikolaj Gdaniec hit a great ball. Izydor Ludwa made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Lucjan Slazak sent off a good shot on target. Radomil Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jedrzej Hatman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Brataniec in the 77th minute of play. B&B Jelenia Góra's Jedrzej Hatman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Smolarek in the 81st minute of play. Izydor Ludwa made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Lucjan Slazak sent off a good shot on target. When Radomil Smolarek was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. 88 minutes into the game, one of B&B Jelenia Góra:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Red Army. Janusz Niedzwiecki stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jedrzej Hatman. 5-0. 93 minutes into the game, Tadeusz Brataniec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Jedrzej Hatman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Tadeusz Brataniec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Red Army walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
