In the 19th minute, Dimitar Berbatov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannich Brolyng was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Henning Sæmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thorbjørn Engsholm in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Dimitar Berbatov made a precise shot to the right of Jannich Brolyng. Saco FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Sindre Walle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Jannich Brolyng managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when FC Nordsjælland's Sindre Walle fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 36 played minutes FC Nordsjælland got a freekick which was hit by Jeppe Tverskov. After having played for 40 minutes, Dimitar Berbatov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Nordsjælland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimitar Berbatov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jannich Brolyng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dimitar Berbatov went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 43rd minute, Sindre Walle made a precise shot to the right of Jannich Brolyng. Saco FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After 46 minutes, Einer Husch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saco FC and the FC Nordsjælland players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Nordsjælland booed when Saco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Einer Husch didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

After some careless play in the Saco FC defense, Sindre Walle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jannich Brolyng. The Saco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jannich Brolyng should have stopped the shot. The FC Nordsjælland fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when FC Nordsjælland's Dimitar Berbatov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Henning Sæmer came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Saco FC's Thorbjørn Engsholm. But to his dismay, Thorbjørn Engsholm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. 65 minutes into the match, Saco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sindre Walle came free, but Jannich Brolyng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jannich Brolyng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sindre Walle in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Saco FC's Thorbjørn Engsholm got a free kick in the 69th minute. Andreas Schjelderup scored 7-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jannich Brolyng, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jannich Brolyng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sindre Walle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Saco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitar Berbatov came free, but Jannich Brolyng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Dimitar Berbatov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannich Brolyng was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-2. In the 86th minute Thorbjørn Engsholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Sæmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sindre Walle took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jannich Brolyng. Saco FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Dimitar Berbatov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jannich Brolyng. Saco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dimitar Berbatov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Nordsjælland had played much better football throughout.
