Mikael Kandil kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolfgang Vesterø in the 7th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Folmar Dandanell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Romholt struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Tyge Oehlerich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hønning. In the 20th minute Ferdinand Romholt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyge Oehlerich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hønning's Folmar Dandanell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wolfgang Vesterø in the 22nd minute of play. Hønning's attentive Freddie Bergenhammer managed to snatch the ball when Sonni Lei made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Wolfgang Vesterø's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folmar Dandanell was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The Pheonix FC fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Pheonix FC's Wolfgang Vesterø looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Uffe Kolnig to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hønning's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcel Militaru was slow to take the kick. During this time Pheonix FC's players had a chance to rest. 62 minutes into the match, Hønning's goalkeeper Folmar Dandanell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel Militaru. Samson Erreboe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 minutes, Ferdinand Romholt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hønning and the Pheonix FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tyge Oehlerich showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Wolfgang Vesterø dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Folmar Dandanell, 0-3. Folmar Dandanell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wolfgang Vesterø's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Folmar Dandanell made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Wolfgang Vesterø sent off a good shot on target. Pheonix FC played a much better game than Hønning and deserved their victory. The Hønning players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
