In the 19th minute, Hansmorten Hjaltason ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niels Willendrup was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Polkoski in the 23rd minute of play forced Randers A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Niels Willendrup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes of play, Randers A.F.C.'s André Duvantier made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierre Nordenkrone was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ronnie Kenzie kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. København. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Duvantier was the one to do the kick off. After 50 played minutes Randers A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Owe Thorkells. Owe Thorkells kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, F.C. København's Aşır Ekici nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niels Willendrup made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. København's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
