After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Kristian Ingels managed to get in a good position for a shot. Randers A.F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Kristian Ingels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hasan Bræmdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niels Willendrup made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Guy Pearce sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FC Hyklerne getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ejner Largren hit a great ball. Owe Thorkells took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hasan Bræmdal. FC Hyklerne's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Randers A.F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ejner Largren came free, but Niels Willendrup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hasan Bræmdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Rubaun in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Erling Valstorp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Kaj Rubaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hasan Bræmdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Asmund Geinæs sped through Randers A.F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niels Willendrup. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asmund Geinæs in the 24th minute of play forced Randers A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Niels Willendrup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes Randers A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Frederik Faurbye. Guy Pearce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Niels Willendrup tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Kornelius Lynbek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Thorkild Vilfeldt from long distance, 29 minutes into the match, got Niels Willendrup's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 33 played minutes Randers A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Kornelius Lynbek. In the 34th minute, Erling Valstorp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hasan Bræmdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Rubaun in the 35th minute of play. If Asmund Geinæs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thorkild Vilfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hasan Bræmdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Rubaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
In the 52nd minute, Kaj Rubaun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thorkild Vilfeldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niels Willendrup having to make a save. After a rather tough play, FC Hyklerne's Asmund Geinæs got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 67 minutes, Guy Pearce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hyklerne and the Randers A.F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guy Pearce hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the game, Frederik Faurbye was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Randers A.F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Hyklerne the free kick. The supporters of FC Hyklerne booed when Randers A.F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederik Faurbye didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thorkild Vilfeldt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 73 minutes of play FC Hyklerne's Ejner Largren was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 73rd match minute, FC Hyklerne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ejner Largren to maneuver through the defense. Thorkild Vilfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels Willendrup having to interfere. Kristian Ingels struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Hasan Bræmdal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Randers A.F.C.. The supporters of FC Hyklerne booed when Randers A.F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Owe Thorkells didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Frederik Faurbye was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. After 95 played minutes Randers A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Frederik Faurbye. Niels Willendrup showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thorkild Vilfeldt in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Hyklerne fans cheered their team off the field, for while Randers A.F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
