Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Izotz in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Cirilo Izotz put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Clayton Gerada. Loïc Payen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoine Bugelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, FC Lëtzebuerg's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Trigona came free, but Loïc Payen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
