The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Liutauras Rimkevičius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hexo Utd and the FK Mintis Vilnius players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Hexo Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liutauras Rimkevičius to maneuver through the defense. Liutauras Rimkevičius kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, FK Mintis Vilnius's Mustafa Juodis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Albertas Marcišauskas charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertas Marcišauskas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FK Mintis Vilnius booed when Hexo Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertas Marcišauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Eugenijus Gureckas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hexo Utd's Kristijonas Juzonis didn't even have to move. Albertas Marcišauskas was shown his second yellow card after 14 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Hexo Utd's Albertas Marcišauskas got a free kick in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Hexo Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Sigitas Ivoška came free, but Kristijonas Juzonis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merūnas Šimaitis kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Lukas Kulpys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Algirdas Narutavičius in the 25th minute of the match. Liutauras Rimkevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Lukas Kulpys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Motiejus Saudargis hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Algirdas Narutavičius took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lukas Kulpys. Lukas Kulpys dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 31 minutes into the game, Hexo Utd's Liutauras Rimkevičius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lukas Kulpys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The supporters of FK Mintis Vilnius booed when Hexo Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Algirdas Narutavičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th match minute, Hexo Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romualdas Misius to maneuver through the defense. Kęstutis Skersys hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match Jarūnas Laužikas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lukas Kulpys skillfully saved the ball. In the 42nd match minute, FK Mintis Vilnius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almantas Baltramaitis to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, John Terry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eugenijus Gureckas came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the FK Mintis Vilnius fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugenijus Gureckas couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Margiris Kerpauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almantas Baltramaitis's late challenge caught a Hexo Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lukas Kulpys made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Algirdas Narutavičius sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FK Mintis Vilnius getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Sigitas Ivoška hit a great ball. Algirdas Narutavičius struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Lukas Kulpys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hexo Utd. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hexo Utd fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FK Mintis Vilnius a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sigitas Ivoška, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hexo Utd's Kristijonas Juzonis. 3-2. Mustafa Juodis hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. FK Mintis Vilnius's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Algirdas Narutavičius scored to the left of an out of position Lukas Kulpys, making the score, 3-3. Kristijonas Juzonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigitas Ivoška in the 84th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
