With a little luck, Atlético Municipal's Marz Arratia got control of the ball when Zernin Mendivil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Calero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bobby Cruz went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute of the match Atlético Municipal got a corner. Airetupal EXC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kinsen Calzado ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Kinsen Calzado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Airetupal EXC's Miguel Calero did a great save. 17 minutes into the match, Airetupal EXC's goal looked a bit too open when Che Feliciano came free, but Miguel Calero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zernin Mendivil got free with Marz Arratia in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zernin Mendivil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute Zernin Mendivil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marz Arratia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Briceño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Airetupal EXC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Municipal the free kick. Reinaldo Briceño hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Miguel Calero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Che Feliciano's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Airetupal EXC's Emesto Villarreal fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Che Feliciano sped through Airetupal EXC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Miguel Calero. Zernin Mendivil kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Che Feliciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Miguel Calero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marz Arratia made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Zernin Mendivil sent off a good shot on target. Miguel Calero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Llanos Vinegra, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sazon Juaristi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Miguel Calero made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Sazon Juaristi sent off a good shot on target. Sazon Juaristi hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute Joe Arroyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Calero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Airetupal EXC's Reinaldo Briceño quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kinsen Calzado, made in the 58th minute of the game. Atlético Municipal's Marz Arratia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matro Beyzania in the 59th minute of play. 59 minutes in the game, Matro Beyzania dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Miguel Calero came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Municipal's Che Feliciano. But to his dismay, Che Feliciano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Marz Arratia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zernin Mendivil in the 64th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Miguel Calero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Miguel Calero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Che Feliciano in the 74th minute. Marz Arratia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matro Beyzania in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zernin Mendivil in the 85th minute of play forced Atlético Municipal's goalkeeper Marz Arratia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Petri Arberas fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Airetupal EXC's protests and gave Petri Arberas a yellow card for diving instead. Petri Arberas kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Miguel Calero made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Che Feliciano sent off a good shot on target. Zernin Mendivil took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marz Arratia. Marz Arratia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Atlético Municipal's Marz Arratia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zernin Mendivil in the 93rd minute of play. The Airetupal EXC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atlético Municipal's performance. The match ended with a win for Atlético Municipal.
