Vicente Davalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Quintero, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rocio Camerin in the 21st minute of play forced Atlético Bucaramanga's goalkeeper David Ospina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Terciero Orantes hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes, Atlético Bucaramanga's Bras Mimenza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Davalos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético Bucaramanga reached it. In the 33rd match minute, VERDOLAGA CITY FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belasko Folguera to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Rocio Camerin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 66 minutes, Perico Luengo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Bucaramanga and the VERDOLAGA CITY FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Atlético Bucaramanga got a freekick which was hit by Perico Luengo. In the 76th minute, Weterio Caceo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Davalos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience was convinced that Sergio Quintero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vicente Davalos was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Vicente Davalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Weterio Caceo in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute Elixio Garros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Davalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atlético Bucaramanga's Elixio Garros got a free kick in the 88th minute. With 91 minutes on the clock, Nabucodonosor Segundo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 91st minute, one of Atlético Bucaramanga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Bucaramanga. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
