With a little luck, BRUGGE FC's Osvaldo Rosabel got control of the ball when Clemente Ruy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Americo Canseco's late challenge caught a Sabaneta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Americo Canseco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Americo Canseco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Diego Angulo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Osvaldo Rosabel. That made the score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play. Shepherd Miramontes's late challenge caught a BRUGGE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shepherd Miramontes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Sabaneta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Senzano to maneuver through the defense. BRUGGE FC's Osvaldo Rosabel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save BRUGGE FC from getting a goal against them. Osvaldo Rosabel was a little too slow when Diego Angulo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 6-0. 45 minutes into the match, BRUGGE FC's Ramirez Loredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Estebanez narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Angulo was the one to do the kick off. After 50 played minutes Sabaneta FC got a freekick which was hit by Manu Agostino. Felipe Jaramillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Lautaro Estebanez made a huge save. The supporters of Sabaneta FC booed when BRUGGE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niguel Agreda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Rosabel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Angulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sabaneta FC's Diego Angulo in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the BRUGGE FC defense, Clemente Ruy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldo Rosabel. The BRUGGE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldo Rosabel should have stopped the shot. After 71 played minutes BRUGGE FC got a freekick which was hit by Niguel Agreda. Sabaneta FC's Diego Angulo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. BRUGGE FC's Osvaldo Rosabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Ruy in the 75th minute of play. Osvaldo Rosabel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salomon Busta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes, Ebardo Salvia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BRUGGE FC and the Sabaneta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ebardo Salvia kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. When Frisco Arroyo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Sabaneta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frisco Arroyo couldn't finish the play. BRUGGE FC's Osvaldo Rosabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Angulo in the 85th minute of play. Diego Angulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Rosabel having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind BRUGGE FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Rosabel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
