The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Alvarez got free with Ourente Abello in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Buba Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rocendo Abar in the 29th minute of the match. In the last second Ourente Abello throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rolando Larios in the 36thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Internacional's Ourente Abello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Larios in the 38th minute of play. Ourente Abello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Larios in the 40th minute of the match. Ourente Abello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Alvarez went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Bryan Marant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ourente Abello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rocendo Abar to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Mariano Alvarez notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Internacional's Ourente Abello. Ourente Abello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Internacional getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Victor Abeita hit a great ball. Ourente Abello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Larios in the 56th minute of the match. Internacional's Ourente Abello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Larios in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Mariano Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ourente Abello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ourente Abello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Larios in the 91st minute of play. Fidel Carballo hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
