Giraldo Laiseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juraj Múdry in the 22nd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes CERRO PORTEÑO got a freekick which was hit by Frechoso Camposa. Giraldo Laiseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacek Walczak in the 25th minute. Giraldo Laiseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iordache Opincaru in the 28th minute of play. Iordache Opincaru came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Giraldo Laiseca could save by the left post. Giraldo Laiseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iordache Opincaru went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Iordache Opincaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Giraldo Laiseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giraldo Laiseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noel Sanvicente in the 40th minute. If Noel Sanvicente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giraldo Laiseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordache Opincaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Iordache Opincaru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Giraldo Laiseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeu Moyua to make the kick off. Urti Rancaño helped the player get up and apologised. Urti Rancaño kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. OROTINENSE's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
