Piero Quispe might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giraldo Laiseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Piero Quispe ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Berenguer Costilla got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Astor Sobrido took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Karim Sifi to make any attempt to save it. In the 32nd minute Piero Quispe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giraldo Laiseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38thth minute of the game Donat Collier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CERRO PORTEÑO's Giraldo Laiseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. CERRO PORTEÑO's Giraldo Laiseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piero Quispe in the 40th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With 53 minutes on the clock, Nemanja Vidic commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 52nd minute, one of Nova Soccer:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nova Soccer. Karim Sifi had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Vermudo Capetillo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Nova Soccer's Morgan Mišković got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Nova Soccer booed when CERRO PORTEÑO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berenguer Costilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, Nova Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piero Quispe to maneuver through the defense. Nova Soccer's Karim Sifi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Sobrido in the 70th minute of play. Giraldo Laiseca made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when José Luis Carranza sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donat Collier got free with Giraldo Laiseca in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donat Collier might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giraldo Laiseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donat Collier ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in CERRO PORTEÑO's zone, Donat Collier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giraldo Laiseca came out of the goal and Donat Collier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dumitru Șişman hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CERRO PORTEÑO had won after a very even match.
