Sacit Selmi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Sakura Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sacit Selmi to maneuver through the defense. Mikolas Laredo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Zakir Novruzov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Severino Carriedo took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovando Cabada. Ovando Cabada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After the first half Sakura Storm were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Karl-Oskar Odman hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sakura Storm's zone, Roland Treceño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zakir Novruzov came out of the goal and Roland Treceño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zakir Novruzov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Treceño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Ugarte's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roland Treceño in the 87th minute. Tadeusz Dziechciowski hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Alfonso Ugarte's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeusz Dziechciowski came free, but Ovando Cabada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
