José Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Joey Lugunez's late challenge caught a ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joey Lugunez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ booed when Valle Saron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Sarmanton didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, José Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Valle Saron getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Guib Martijana hit a great ball. In the 27th minute José Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calvet Babia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zadornin Foronda kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Calvet Babia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, José Ramos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Calvet Babia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Diómedes Rodriguez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Calvet Babia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Totín De Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd match minute, Valle Saron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosio Aranzana to maneuver through the defense. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Diómedes Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes Valle Saron got a freekick which was hit by Beila Usel. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Ramos in the 53rd minute of play forced Valle Saron's goalkeeper Calvet Babia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Valle Saron's Calvet Babia got control of the ball when Calito Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Calito Garcia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. 64 minutes into the game, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Diómedes Rodriguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Calvet Babia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Calvet Babia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calito Garcia in the 73rd minute. Calvet Babia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Calvet Babia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, José Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s supporters crossed their fingers, but José Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Valle Saron throughout the match.
