Cresconio Carreño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urritz Abechuco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cresconio Carreño having to interfere. With a little luck, Deportivo ScrugenFC's Cresconio Carreño got control of the ball when Alessandro Abajas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Ibarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Checa Peñas in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute Txindoki Ameda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Ibarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cresconio Carreño made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Urritz Abechuco sent off a good shot on target. Américo Díaz took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cresconio Carreño. Cresconio Carreño dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Cresconio Carreño proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo ScrugenFC from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Deportivo ScrugenFC's Chus Carreira got a free kick in the 51st minute. Luis Ibarra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Txindoki Ameda in the 55th minute. After 57 minutes of play, Deportivo ScrugenFC's Caradaro Arismendi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Ibarra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cresconio Carreño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loreto Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kalatakaya F.C.'s Américo Díaz in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Kalatakaya F.C.'s Luis Ibarra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Kalatakaya F.C. from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Deportivo ScrugenFC booed when Kalatakaya F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Rea didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Deportivo ScrugenFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
