Inge Tuero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cusco FC's Ticho Paya quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Astor Abenda, made in the 12th minute of the game. Jesus Abaurre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Inge Tuero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Cusco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Abaurre came free, but Inge Tuero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hats Echavarria's late challenge caught a El Pulpo Paceño's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hats Echavarria helped the player get up and apologised. Hats Echavarria kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cusco FC's zone, Estevez Abajas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inge Tuero came out of the goal and Estevez Abajas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute of the match, Ticho Paya got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zxavian Abeitia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of El Pulpo Paceño booed when Cusco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliu Abouza didn't get a good kick on the ball.
