The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maximiliano Lovera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, Fútbol Club Insaar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phelipe Gorostiza to maneuver through the defense. Roman Olivarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Veliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejo Veliz in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Olivarez saved Fútbol Club Insaar from getting behind. 23 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Alejo Veliz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roman Olivarez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Cedro Ergueta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Buljubasich having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Raúl Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Buljubasich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Atlético Lea Papá getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Douglas Ruiz hit a great ball. José Maria Buljubasich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Ribeiro in the 36th minute of play. Alejo Veliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Roman Olivarez made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alejo Veliz made a kick off. Carlos Quintana kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Alejo Veliz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Lea Papá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejo Veliz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alejo Veliz might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Olivarez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejo Veliz ran back to his position shaking his head. Roman Olivarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Veliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Washington Camacho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Alejo Veliz got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lea Papá's goal looked a bit too open when Cedro Ergueta came free, but José Maria Buljubasich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roman Olivarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Veliz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Maria Buljubasich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Ribeiro in the 92nd minute of play. When Cedro Ergueta came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Fútbol Club Insaar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cedro Ergueta couldn't finish the play. Club Atlético Lea Papá were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fútbol Club Insaar for a fine match.
