After 12 played minutes, Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Ferdinand Abajas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Peña came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pepsi Fuchibol Clu reached it. Lesardo Abadie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Libardo Fuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. César Melgarejo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 17 minutes, Jorge Abar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Abar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Lesardo Abadie managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Club Deportivo Águila's Libardo Fuentes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Libardo Fuentes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lesardo Abadie was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Libardo Fuentes made a precise shot to the right of Lesardo Abadie. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Lesardo Abadie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Libardo Fuentes's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. César Melgarejo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lesardo Abadie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Libardo Fuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Lesardo Abadie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Libardo Fuentes in the 74th minute of play. After 75 minutes Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mario Leguizamon who took care of the corner kick. In the 83rd minute, Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's César Melgarejo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Peña. Ricardo Peña yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Ordono Abaurre struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Ricardo Peña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pepsi Fuchibol Clu. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Lesardo Abadie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Libardo Fuentes in the 93rd minute of play. The supporters of Club Deportivo Águila booed when Pepsi Fuchibol Clu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Abaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball.
