Gabriel Araya scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Peña, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Carballo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Peña having to interfere. Ricardo Peña stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Porras's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Felipe Porras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ricardo Peña was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Porras came free, but Ricardo Peña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Elias Carballo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo Águila defense, Edgar Bermudez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Peña. The Club Deportivo Águila fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Peña should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Club Deportivo Águila getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alberto Pineda hit a great ball. Club Deportivo Águila's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Porras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The supporters of Club Deportivo Águila booed when CS La Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Batuhan Eryilmaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Libardo Fuentes to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Felipe Porras could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Ricardo Peña however easily saved by the left post. Omar Volio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Pineda went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, Felipe Porras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CS La Libertad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-8. In the 78th match minute, Club Deportivo Águila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Libardo Fuentes to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Club Deportivo Águila getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Libardo Fuentes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Águila's zone, Isidro Valverde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Peña came out of the goal and Isidro Valverde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Valverde came free, but Ricardo Peña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th match minute, CS La Libertad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Araya to maneuver through the defense. The Club Deportivo Águila fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CS La Libertad were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
