If Saverio Abar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9thth minute of the game Saverio Abar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Israel Peña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ordono Abaurre in the 16th minute of play forced Chuquisaca's goalkeeper Evaristo Abadia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Abadia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Melgarejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 25th minute Saverio Abar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Peña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Ordono Abaurre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaristo Abadia. Chuquisaca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ordono Abaurre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game was made by Guillen Abastas with Ordono Abaurre as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a rather tough play, Chuquisaca's Claudinei Abancens got a free kick in the 36th minute. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Chuquisaca's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ferdinand Abajas took the corner. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Ferdinand Abajas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Evaristo Abadia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 42nd minute, Saverio Abar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Israel Peña was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Navarro Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chuquisaca's supporters rose to their feet, but Navarro Abancens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Israel Peña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when César Melgarejo made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ordono Abaurre made a precise shot to the right of Evaristo Abadia. Chuquisaca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If César Melgarejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Abadia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Melgarejo in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Chuquisaca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sazon Abad to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 65 minutes, Ordono Abaurre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ordono Abaurre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Israel Peña successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Israel Peña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Abar in the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Chuquisaca booed when Pepsi Fuchibol Clu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Etcheverry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Navarro Abancens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cosme Abecia charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cosme Abecia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pepsi Fuchibol Clu getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cosme Abecia hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
