The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Intimos de Reynoso got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Galvan. After 6 minutes, Aquiles Saavedra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Olimpia and the Intimos de Reynoso players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Olimpia getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Aquiles Saavedra hit a great ball. Dalmacio Caldueño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erez Marica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute of the match Intimos de Reynoso got a corner. Club Olimpia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Galvan ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Intimos de Reynoso's corner Carlos Galvan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dalmacio Caldueño quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Cebo Morejon took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Milio Cuero to make any attempt to save it. Dalmacio Caldueño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erez Marica in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cebo Morejon to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Lucas Aumada shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dalmacio Caldueño showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Taio Lereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmacio Caldueño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erez Marica, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Cebo Morejon got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erez Marica in the 39th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Dalmacio Caldueño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmacio Caldueño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erez Marica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Galvan made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Lucas Aumada however managed to control. In the 47th minute, Aquiles Saavedra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Galvan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dalmacio Caldueño. Club Olimpia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rubio Guardia was the one to do the kick off. Intimos de Reynoso's Milio Cuero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliazar Salantes in the 59th minute of play. In the last second Dalmacio Caldueño throw himself and got hold of the ball when Erez Marica in the 60thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 61st match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gorbea Sasiain to maneuver through the defense. Intimos de Reynoso's Chayo Aguila was substituted for Taio Lereira. Gorbea Sasiain hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Erez Marica left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Intimos de Reynoso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chayo Aguila got free with Dalmacio Caldueño in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Galvan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dalmacio Caldueño. Club Olimpia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Santutxo Casquete kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Dalmacio Caldueño was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erez Marica showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 83 minute of play. When Carlos Galvan fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Intimos de Reynoso's protests and gave Carlos Galvan a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Galvan made in the 93rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Lucas Aumada however managed to control. Intimos de Reynoso were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
