Dalmacio Caldueño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Flores in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Olimpia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aladin Bey was slow to take the kick. During this time Made in Honduras's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Aladin Bey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dalmacio Caldueño quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Pineda in the 22nd minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Dalmacio Caldueño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Made in Honduras getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tuğrul Bey hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Eliazar Salantes. Dalmacio Caldueño showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Mayen in the 28th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Oswaldo Pineda took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dalmacio Caldueño to make any attempt to save it. 40 minutes into the match, Cebo Morejon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dan Gheară. Made in Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cebo Morejon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 45th minute, Oswaldo Pineda fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With an all-out effort, Made in Honduras's Dalmacio Caldueño threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oswaldo Pineda, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arturo Mayen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Caldueño having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
