The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alan Cano hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristobal Cepa in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmacio Caldueño prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aquiles Saavedra hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, Cebo Morejon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Olimpia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hayalim Kedoshim the free kick. The supporters of Hayalim Kedoshim booed when Club Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cebo Morejon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dalmacio Caldueño showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Cepa in the 19th minute of the match. Aquiles Saavedra's late challenge caught a Hayalim Kedoshim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquiles Saavedra helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Saavedra. The audience was convinced that Saverio Burcena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmacio Caldueño was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Dalmacio Caldueño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute Saverio Burcena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Caldueño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Arrelucea had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Perico Porregimon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Perico Porregimon took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliver Arrelucea. Oliver Arrelucea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Dalmacio Caldueño stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cordarrel Pereña's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After 64 minutes, Cordarrel Pereña made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Club Olimpia's Dalmacio Caldueño tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eliazar Salantes charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliazar Salantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eliazar Salantes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Dalmacio Caldueño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cordarrel Pereña, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Dalmacio Caldueño had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chico Pineros. If Oswaldo Garijo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Olimpia's Cebo Morejon got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Cebo Morejon off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordarrel Pereña in the 87th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Dalmacio Caldueño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cordarrel Pereña received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dalmacio Caldueño came out and tried to block the shot, but Cordarrel Pereña slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 95th minute.
