One of SAPRIMECKBEL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sporting Cristal:s goal. When the match had been going on for 96 minutes, Sporting Cristal's Erasmo Irizar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Federico Vilchez. When the referee blew the final whistle, SAPRIMECKBEL could leave the field as winners, despite Sporting Cristal having more of the ball for most of the match.
