In the 16th minute, Anxelu Zabalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Roig in the 17th managed to get into a good position. Anselmo Gene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Roig in the 19th minute of the match. Bardo Villalcazar's late challenge caught a Cañamero C.F.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bardo Villalcazar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Sperides was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bardo Villalcazar to maneuver through the defense. Cañamero C.F.'s Anselmo Gene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilixo Nueva in the 27th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Aurelio Roig put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anselmo Gene. 35 minutes into the game, Sperides's Aurelio Roig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Gene made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Aurelio Roig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Roig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Gene dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Orlondo Amer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bahiano Cano in the 66th minute of play. After 67 minutes, Odilon Casado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sperides and the Cañamero C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sperides's Odilon Casado got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute of the match, Aurelio Roig tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anselmo Gene saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cañamero C.F.'s Anselmo Gene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepe Muelas in the 72nd minute of play. Bahiano Cano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Orlondo Amer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelio Roig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Gene read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Cañamero C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Bahiano Cano. In the 80thth minute of the game Aurelio Roig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cañamero C.F.'s Anselmo Gene was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute of the match Sperides got a corner. Cañamero C.F.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bardo Villalcazar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bardo Villalcazar made a great header on Sperides's corner, it was just that Cañamero C.F.'s Anselmo Gene managed to reach the ball for a save. Anselmo Gene made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Aurelio Roig sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Roig in the 87th minute of play forced Cañamero C.F.'s goalkeeper Anselmo Gene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sperides's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pepe Muelas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cañamero C.F.'s Anselmo Gene proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Cañamero C.F. from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sperides eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
