Pepe Muelas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ren Xi Chen, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The supporters of April 25 SC booed when Sperides was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xulian Barberá didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Ramiro James shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Muelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ren Xi Chen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pepe Muelas was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. April 25 SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ren Xi Chen in the 23rd minute. Ren Xi Chen struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Pepe Muelas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for April 25 SC. The April 25 SC fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when April 25 SC's Ren Xi Chen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, April 25 SC's Ren Xi Chen got a free kick in the 35th minute. Sperides's Pepe Muelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ren Xi Chen in the 37th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramiro James stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sperides's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Ren Xi Chen scored to the left of an out of position Pepe Muelas, making the score, 1-6. Ren Xi Chen came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pepe Muelas could save by the left post. 57 minutes into the match, April 25 SC's Ren Xi Chen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pepe Muelas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sperides's Pepe Muelas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Sperides from getting a goal against them. Ramiro James blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pepe Muelas having to make a save. A hard shot 62 in the game by Ren Xi Chen from a close distance when the talented Pepe Muelas managed to make a qualified save. Sperides's players were relieved. After 62 minutes, Ren Xi Chen made it 1-7 with a short kick to the right side. Sperides's Pepe Muelas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Sperides defense, Ren Xi Chen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pepe Muelas. The Sperides fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pepe Muelas should have stopped the shot. April 25 SC's Michel Platini was substituted for Antoni Augustyn. Ren Xi Chen might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pepe Muelas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pepe Muelas was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Ren Xi Chen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ren Xi Chen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-10. After a rather tough play, Sperides's Lucero Iniesta got a free kick in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Sperides's goalkeeper Pepe Muelas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ren Xi Chen. Pepe Muelas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ren Xi Chen's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. April 25 SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
