He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Girona FC reached it. Oswaldo Talavera was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Nicholas Jubera managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Boiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Jubera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toni Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erlantz Cienfuegos kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, one of CD Boiro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Oriol Azofra's late challenge caught a CD Boiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oriol Azofra helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Girona FC's Oriol Azofra got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute, Elixio Lacorte made a precise shot to the right of Toni Vera. Girona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Toni Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elixio Lacorte, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. CD Boiro's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
