Leobardo Aguilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oriol Azofra in the 8th minute of play. SISTRELLS's Leobardo Aguilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belisario Llorente in the 15th minute of play. Elazar Cerreri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Vera having to interfere. Leobardo Aguilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oriol Azofra, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Elvis Salgado hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, SISTRELLS's goal looked a bit too open when Oriol Azofra came free, but Leobardo Aguilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elazar Cerreri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toni Vera having to make a save. When Sebastián Maroto fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Girona FC's protests and gave Sebastián Maroto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Telo Castelao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Vicente Mendez made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Ignacio Puyol made a precise shot to the right of Toni Vera. Girona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 58 minutes into the game, SISTRELLS's Ignacio Puyol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toni Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After having played for 64 minutes, Elvis Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SISTRELLS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvis Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oriol Azofra in the 69th minute of play forced SISTRELLS's goalkeeper Leobardo Aguilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, SISTRELLS's goalkeeper Leobardo Aguilo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Mendez. Belisario Llorente's late challenge caught a SISTRELLS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Belisario Llorente helped the player get up and apologised. Belisario Llorente kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Girona FC booed when SISTRELLS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincente Gandia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignacio Puyol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toni Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Leo Dobale fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the referee ended the match the SISTRELLS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
