Boca Juniors's Eneas Toxeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute Costante Verdaguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Benítez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tsubasa Ozora's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eneas Toxeiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Eneas Toxeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakes Campomanes in the 20th minute of play. Eusebio Cao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Eneas Toxeiro made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Santos in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Benítez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isak Qvalfeldt to maneuver through the defense. Eneas Toxeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Mangas in the 29th minute of play. Germán Alonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Pedro Benítez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidoro Mangas to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the game, Tsubasa Ozora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Eneas Toxeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isidoro Mangas charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Mangas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Isidoro Mangas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eneas Toxeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Mangas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the game, Breixo Casero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VILLARREAL UNITED the free kick. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Breixo Casero got a free kick in the 84th minute. Boca Juniors's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
