FC CHIVA's Andrés Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Rienda in the 3rd minute of play. In the 13th minute Romeo Rienda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeo Rienda in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrés Torres saved FC CHIVA from getting behind. FC CHIVA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tello Calvo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Romeo Rienda took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrés Torres. Andrés Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 35 minutes into the game, Cresenciano Moya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Elvis Ribeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romeo Rienda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Torres having to interfere. Elvis Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Colsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerardo Colsa was the one to do the kick off. The FC CHIVA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrés Torres should have stopped the shot. FC CHIVA's Hondo Palacios pulled a muscle in his back after 68 minutes and couldn't finish the game. FC CHIVA's Geronimo Lillo was substituted for Hondo Palacios. A collision led to U.D. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dagoberto Escobar during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 minutes of play U.D. Mancini's Tello Calvo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. FC CHIVA's Andrés Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Rienda in the 92nd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC CHIVA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U.D. Mancini.
