Mandrake fc's Abad Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save PERSPOLIS from getting a goal against them. Mandrake fc's Elar Quero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Salas in the 15th minute of play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gaston Delgado sped through Mandrake fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elar Quero. Virgilio Marcilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abad Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abad Santos in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Virgilio Marcilla, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Elar Quero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro León in the 25th minute of the match. Abad Santos struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Virgilio Marcilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mandrake fc. Elar Quero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Myles Powderham in the 30th minute of the match. Mandrake fc's attentive Millán Revuelta managed to snatch the ball when Cesario Bajo made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Cesario Bajo charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesario Bajo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in PERSPOLIS's zone, Abad Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Marcilla came out of the goal and Abad Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Virgilio Marcilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abad Santos. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in PERSPOLIS's zone, Abad Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Marcilla came out of the goal and Abad Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute Valdo Salas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elar Quero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mandrake fc booed when PERSPOLIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Curcio Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abad Santos in the 68th minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Virgilio Marcilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elar Quero came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by PERSPOLIS's Gaston Delgado. But to his dismay, Gaston Delgado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abad Santos in the 77th minute of play. Carlitos Belalcaraz's late challenge caught a Mandrake fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlitos Belalcaraz helped the player get up and apologised. 87 minutes into the match, Mandrake fc's goalkeeper Elar Quero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdo Salas. A well-hit corner resulted in Myles Powderham heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Espartaco Castellano during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, PERSPOLIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Espartaco Castellano to maneuver through the defense. The Mandrake fc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PERSPOLIS's performance. The match ended with a win for PERSPOLIS.
