After having played for 15 minutes, Abad Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The FCSB CUENCA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 29 minutes into the match, FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper Agapito Blanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abad Santos. Agapito Blanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Millán Revuelta in the 32nd minute of the match. Elar Quero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcio Carreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Abad Santos came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Mandrake fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abad Santos couldn't finish the play. Abad Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Agapito Blanco made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abad Santos made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Abad Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abad Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Agapito Blanco having to make a save. 55 minutes into the game, Abad Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Agapito Blanco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abad Santos in the 59th managed to get into a good position. Agapito Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abad Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mandrake fc were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after FCSB CUENCA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baudilio Velasco took the corner. After a rather tough play, FCSB CUENCA's Carlos Pujol got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Abad Santos fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mandrake fc's protests and gave Abad Santos a yellow card for diving instead. Abad Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. FCSB CUENCA's Agapito Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abad Santos in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Carlos Pujol reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elar Quero. The goal made the score 2-2. After having played for 88 minutes, Saul Coira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mandrake fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Coira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
