After a rather tough play, Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Jan Staal got a free kick in the 4th minute. Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Teun Gierman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerwin Pilage in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Bart Koekkoek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute of the match Leendert Zuurman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teun Gierman skillfully saved the ball. Johan Heuving hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. A collision led to Nadzieja Speed Elblag getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Wilfred Brunt hit a great ball. Marcel Lammers kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Marcel Lammers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De hijgende Hertjes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Teun Gierman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De hijgende Hertjes. Teun Gierman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carsten Zoetebier in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, one of Nadzieja Speed Elblag:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave De hijgende Hertjes a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leendert Zuurman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Teun Gierman. 0-4. When Stef Graaff fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nadzieja Speed Elblag's protests and gave Stef Graaff a yellow card for diving instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerwin Pilage was the one to do the kick off. Carsten Zoetebier in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teun Gierman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pim van Gaal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geert Fokkelman kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerwin Pilage kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teun Gierman. That made the score 0-5 in the 59 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carsten Zoetebier got free with Teun Gierman in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andy Scholte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Steen Müür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Donny Rieks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teun Gierman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teun Gierman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerwin Pilage in the 91st minute of play. Andy Scholte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerwin Pilage in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teun Gierman saved Nadzieja Speed Elblag from getting behind. After 97 played minutes Nadzieja Speed Elblag got a freekick which was hit by Johan Heuving. De hijgende Hertjes played a much better game than Nadzieja Speed Elblag and deserved their victory. The Nadzieja Speed Elblag players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
