The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mickael Rutgers during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to De Kasteelheren getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Mickael Rutgers hit a great ball. Flashdynamica's Meindert Janus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remond Zijden in the 9th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Flashdynamica got a freekick which was hit by Wim Robben. In the 15th minute Donald Wagenaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Oevermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flashdynamica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rik Heubach in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Flashdynamica's Stijn Brons got a free kick in the 17th minute. Meindert Janus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathan Wermans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Alfred Oevermans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Robben. Martien Meerdink hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Flashdynamica's goal looked a bit too open when Remond Zijden came free, but Meindert Janus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remond Zijden in the 29th minute of play forced Flashdynamica's goalkeeper Meindert Janus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to De Kasteelheren getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Luc Eiting hit a great ball. The supporters of Flashdynamica booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martien Meerdink didn't get a good kick on the ball. De Kasteelheren's Alfred Oevermans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Wagenaar in the 39th minute of play. Alfred Oevermans came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Flashdynamica's Rik Heubach. But to his dismay, Rik Heubach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rik Heubach scored 2-0 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Oevermans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nathan Wermans to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes De Kasteelheren got a freekick which was hit by Mickael Rutgers. The supporters of Flashdynamica booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luc Eiting didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Donald Wagenaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Oevermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Oevermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Wagenaar in the 58th minute of the match. Teun Otten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meindert Janus having to interfere. A collision led to De Kasteelheren getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marnix van Alst hit a great ball. Alfred Oevermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dries Aalst in the 64th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes De Kasteelheren got a freekick which was hit by Henk Hoebe. Flashdynamica's Victor Theissen suffered a concussion in the 71st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. A collision led to De Kasteelheren getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Luc Eiting hit a great ball. De Kasteelheren's Alfred Oevermans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dries Aalst in the 74th minute of play. Meindert Janus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickael Rutgers, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of Flashdynamica booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo Bosstraeten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nathan Wermans's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Meindert Janus firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alfred Oevermans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Wagenaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfred Oevermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rik Heubach, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After some careless play in the De Kasteelheren defense, Dennis Bosstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfred Oevermans. The De Kasteelheren fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfred Oevermans should have stopped the shot.
