SCs StarS's Jan Hendrik Kregel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruud Geels in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Olof Krol threw the ball into play from the sideline. Verwachting's Henk-Jan Opdam quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jan Hendrik Kregel was a little too slow when Wilco Kosterman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. Oscar Vaalman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 13th playminute. With a little luck, SCs StarS's Jan Hendrik Kregel got control of the ball when Henk-Jan Opdam tried to sneak it across the goal line. SCs StarS's Jan Hendrik Kregel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruud Geels in the 17th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruud Geels kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jan Hendrik Kregel. That made the score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play. A hard shot 24 in the game by Oscar Vaalman from a close distance when the talented Jan Hendrik Kregel managed to make a qualified save. SCs StarS's players were relieved. Jan Hendrik Kregel made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Henk-Jan Opdam sent off a good shot on target. Jan Hendrik Kregel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilco Kosterman in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, SCs StarS's Job Wilhelm got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the game, Ruud Geels recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jan Hendrik Kregel. Ruud Geels showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andy Carels to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Oscar Vaalman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Hendrik Kregel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Hendrik Kregel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruud Geels in the 55th minute of play. Wilco Kosterman took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Hendrik Kregel. Jan Hendrik Kregel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 64 minutes into the match, Ruud Geels had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Hendrik Kregel. SCs StarS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruud Geels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 67 minutes into the match, Oscar Vaalman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Hendrik Kregel. SCs StarS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Vaalman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 70 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goalkeeper Kees Veentjer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donny Dongen. Oscar Vaalman scored 8-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Hendrik Kregel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Wilco Kosterman notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of SCs StarS's Jan Hendrik Kregel. Jan Hendrik Kregel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jan Hendrik Kregel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruud Geels in the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Vaalman came free, but Jan Hendrik Kregel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Wilco Kosterman made a precise shot to the right of Jan Hendrik Kregel. SCs StarS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. After 86 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Henk-Jan Opdam. The supporters of SCs StarS booed when Verwachting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruud Geels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donny Dongen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Kees Veentjer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donny Dongen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Kees Veentjer made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the Verwachting players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
