The referee ignored Osdorp FC's protests and gave Rogier Held a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Osdorp FC's Rogier Held got a free kick in the 19th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Laurens Oosterman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rogier Held received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Laurens Oosterman came out and tried to block the shot, but Rogier Held slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. Coos van Halst hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Coos van Halst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jouke Jacobs in the 35th minute of play forced Osdorp FC's goalkeeper Bill Geerds to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Pelgrims's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ferdi van der Schaaf in the 38th minute. Arthur Løset charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arthur Løset the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arthur Løset kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Emiel Dilling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Osdorp FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
