Laurens Oosterman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex de Rudder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurens Oosterman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Jan van Westerop in the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Alex de Rudder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurens Oosterman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 43 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Jouke Jacobs. 44 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Alex de Rudder came free, but Laurens Oosterman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for De Pelgrims! The excitement rose when Winthont FC's Filip Bennink after 88 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for De Pelgrims's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-3. If Kadim Argun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Winthont FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
