The Springplank FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bill Ridder should have stopped the shot. Bill Ridder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pieter de Zwart, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pieter de Zwart in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bill Ridder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romeo Formerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mirko Vervoort tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bill Ridder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Juvenal Vaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mijdrecht Maffia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Pieter de Zwart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Ridder having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Springplank FC's zone, Laurens van der Tol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Ridder came out of the goal and Laurens van der Tol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Juvenal Vaz put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Bill Ridder. Bill Ridder was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gert Smits showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 77 minute of play. Jan Rein Roetering received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Bill Ridder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
